Established in 1995, Eltech has grown from a small family business in Melbourne into a leading importer and wholesale distributor of electrical accessories to Australia’s electrical industry. With warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, they’ve built a reputation on competitive pricing, a wide product range, and looking after time-poor customers. But as those customers grew and their expectations changed, the old way of doing things couldn’t keep up.
Printed, Retyped, Repeated.
Every online order used to be printed out and manually re-entered into NetSuite by hand. Customers had no visibility of stock levels, no way to see their negotiated pricing online, and no idea which warehouse had what they needed. When something wasn’t in stock, staff had to follow up by phone or email to deliver the bad news. For a business with thousands of customers — many of them sole traders ordering after hours, on weekends, and even on public holidays — this was a broken system that couldn’t scale.
